Samuel Greene used to be a mountain man. For years he trapped and hunted in regions where no white man had ever stepped a foot. In that time he fought with Indians, but he harbors no hate for them. I wouldn't say western novels and fiction is a genre choice for me. I'm a love story type a gal!! However my husband convinced me to put some color in my reading habits. So I decide to give this book a shot. Firstly I must say I under estimated how good it was, secondly it grabbed my attention right off the bat. I compared it to watching "the good the bad and the ugly" as this is the only western movie I have ever watched. It was not entirely like the movie of course but the action and characters reminded me of the movie. Overall it was a good read, I had a good time reading it.Product details

Good read
The story was written well and kept my interest. The end was like stopping in the middle of a story!
My favorite genre of films are westerners, tombstone, young guns so when I came to find an equally good book, I was surprised.
Interesting characters and plot, funny in parts and kept my attention.
I look forward to reading more books by Luis Antwood.
This action-packed book is immense. The portrayal of the characters in this book was being held true throughout the entire storyline. The author was successful enough to inject into this book his idea regarding racism, friendship and loyalty. Moreover, the western scenario in this book was also elaborately described. This book had seized me until I finished reading it.
Luis Antwood delivered a great period story in this Western action, Last Stand. It’s like getting transported years back.
Sam Greene is not your typical protagonist; he’s a balance of complex mystery and is someone readers can easily relate to. The story was action-packed, and I enjoyed the dramatic reveals and unexpected plot twists.
I’d recommend this book any fan of western action books. Truly, a great page turner.
I’ll be honest, I am not a fan of western stories, but I really enjoyed reading this one. It is a well-written, very entertaining story that will make you want to keep reading ‘till the last page. Both the story and the characters are very well-developed. I don’t want to spoil anything, but trust me, if you want to read a good, short western fiction story, this is what you’re looking for.
